Prison Islamic Boarding School: Efforts to Instill Morals in Prisoners in Correctional Institutions

Correctional institutions have complicated problems; the number of inmates is already over-capacity, prisons are places for courses on crime and terrorism, budget requirements swelling, prison riots increasing. Health problems exacerbate this during covid 19 pandemic. The research method in article uses qualitative methods with a library approach. This paper contributes to improvement system, especially fostering Islam correctional through pesantren program. results state that it necessary strengthen role shape prisoners' morals better.
